Helsinki City Council - Sports

LA was delighted to have worked in Helsinki in January for the Sports Department of the City Council. The weather was cold at -15 degrees but Helsinki and the people are wonderful. Our work explores real reasons for project development based on analysed data rather than opinions, so that sports and leisure facilities can be better places places for more activity to benefit more people rather than be empty buildings for large periods of time, used only by the minority. The process means that decisions can be better informed and made earlier to reduce risks, improve value and create long term benefits through creative, expert design. We look forward to the IAKS Nordic conference in April in Helsinki that will discuss this further.
