The vision for Silverlake, shared with Habitat First’s other site at Lower Mill in the Cotswolds, is to create a sustainable and inclusive community of holiday units where visitors feel comfortable and relaxed in a natural environment, with opportunities to enjoy nature, open space, landscape, and recreation. A creative contemporary design approach is combined with the influences from West Dorset’s character with the use of local materials, sustainability principles, energy efficiency and biodiversity. This is within a carefully managed nature conservation setting, combining people and community with wildlife, habitat, landscape, and leisure.
