Amphitheatre, Voronezh

LA architects were brought into this project by the developer to solve a critical problem.  What was is that could differentiate their shopping mall from all the others in this developing Russian city.

The city gas an industrial but highly cultural history and an engaging and ambitious population.  After considerable development and consultation with developers and authorities, it was proposed that the centre of the mall would be carved out to create a 10,000 seat arena.  The area was designed to be a destination and focus not only for the mall but for the city.

It was created to deliver all events from the sporting ones, including equestrian, basketball and ice hockey to rock concerts and other performances.

LA's input was for concept and technical design but we were not involved in the delivery of the project.
