Part of the London King’s Cross redevelopment project, Pancras Square Leisure is located within Camden Council’s new community hub building. Occupying its two lower floors, the leisure centre includes a 25m pool and moveable floor, learner and play pools, fitness suite and two studio spaces, which combine with an access centre and library above, to provide new state-of-the-art public facilities for the local community.
The design focuses on bringing light and views into the centre to enliven each space and connect it to the wider site. Click here to take a tour of the fitness suite or here for a peek at the pools with Google Virtual Tours.
The building achieved BREEAM Outstanding, a first for a UK leisure centre, and is a featured as a case study on the BREEAM website.
